America's historic homes represent a wide variety of architectural styles - from New England mansions to Southern plantations, Victorian homes, Frank Lloyd Wright's unique designs, and more, including:
- Hearst Castle
- Boldt Castle
- Lyndhurst
- Hornibrook Mansion
- Colonial Williamsburg
- Falling Water (Frank Lloyd Wright)
Dig into details about each unique home, including background information, pictures and tour information, where available. Some of these homes are open as museums, offering an educational look at their architecture and history.
Did you know that Boldt Castle was built as a present from Mr. Boldt to his wife? Sadly, construction on the home was halted when Mrs. Boldt unexpectedly passed away. The home was later restored and is now open for tours.
