Whirlpool Tubs - Affordable Luxury - 9/19
From LoveToKnow Interior Design
When I was younger, one of the best parts about going on vacation was the unlimited hot water in the hotel's bathtub. I still like going on vacation, but today's technology lets me have (almost) unlimited hot water at home. Combine that with a spacious, slant-back design and water jets and you've got the ultimate in luxury -- a whirlpool tub.
Advantages and Features of a Whirlpool Tub
Whirlpool bathtubs come in all shapes and sizes. No longer limited to a standard round or rectangle shape, today's tubs range from 5' to over 20'. There are tubs for two and even hydrotherapy tubs with a side door for easy access.
Most whirlpool bathtubs include a heater (that's where the unlimited hot water comes in). The number of arm rests and water jets varies from model to model. Some tubs include a built-in sound systems and/or lights. Jacuzzi offers whirlpool tubs in 250 different colors. Whirlpool bathtubs range in price from several hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on the size and the options you choose.
Buying a Whirlpool Tub
Choosing the right whirlpool tub for you can, at first, seem a daunting task. Choose the model in which you'll feel most comfortable and the one which fits your space. Unless you are building a brand new house, keep in mind that the tub must make it through the doorway. Also consider the weight of the tub and how the plumbing and wiring will work with your existing mechanicals.
