Hi, I am getting a Bachelors of University Studies degree in Interior Design at the Univesity of New Mexico and was wondering if this is a wise route to take? Is it going to effect me if this degree isn't from a accredited interior design school?

CIDA is actually just the new name recently taken by FIDER - it stands for Center for Interior Design Accreditations. Interior design must meet the same requirements for certification whether their certification is called FIDER or CIDA, so one is not better than the other. It all comes down to when the accreditation was granted or renewed.

what the difference between the FIDER and CIDA accreditations? Is one better than the other?
