I ma writing to see how I go about getting you all to come to my home to do a room.I watch your shows all the time. I am 58 years old and I got my home place, that was build in 1953. My husband and I are both disable and we are tring to update the house as much as possible,so far we have put in a bathroom. I am not one to ask for help, but i thought maybe i could get some help from you all.It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you veryu much.
-- Contributed by: May GriffinAfter all the uncalled-for drama and the disappointment of Mikey V's show cancellation, Design Stars Matt and Jennifer redeemed the show by designing wonderful rooms for their deserving families. And they did it with style and class and encouragement and support for each other. Yes, each wants to win. But, they showed good sportsmanship and consideration. Matt could have 'sabotaged' Jen by taking Mikey V. on the first day(not knowing that other carpenters would be provided), but he took into consideration that she might need carpentry help. Yay for Matt!!! Chivalry is not dead! I VOTE FOR MATT.

We have a formal living room with 20' high ceilings. There are a couple of problems with this living room; First what can you put up on walls that go that high up that's eye appealing for a formal space and because we have formal stairs in the living room area, the living room is mis-shaped What kind of furniture would look right in there? And speaking of the stairs we don't know how to make that space attractive because the space going up the stairs is not straight it curves. Need your ideas. Have lived in this house for five years now would love to have HGTV Design Star help us please.
-- Contributed by: Donna ChenskyI would like to see a design problem done by the new design star cast of a living room that has a middle front entry door. My living room is 17x11.6ft it has two windows on the outer entry wall with a door in the middle. This means the door opens up into the middle of the small room. I have been trying to deal with this room for 30 years and would love to see waht the stars could do with it. Many of the older smaller cape cod houses I'm sure have this problem that were built in the 20's.
